Are your ICU CAUTI rates stalled or going in the wrong direction? Do you have any “sacred cows” roaming in your units? A sacred cow is an idea or practice that exists despite the fact that it is not reasonable or scientifically sound. Sacred cows are alive and well in our ICUs and we need to round them up and send them out to pasture! During this four-month series, you can listen to four ICU participants, who are in the fishbowl, test new strategies focused on rounding up the sacred cows to reduce CAUTI in their organizations. You will observe hospitals take action and hear new ideas that you can adapt for your own CAUTI prevention efforts. Check out the recording of the ICU CAUTI Fishbowl Session #1 to learn more about our participating ICUs serving fish in our fishbowl and start rounding up your sacred cows to put them out to pasture!Download Slides
